Hi there, my name's Claudia. I'm a Speech Pathologist specialised in the area of English Pronunciation and the Australian Accent, I’ve been working in this area for 15 years. Many people know that a Speech Pathologist is someone who works with children with speech difficulties or someone who works in hospitals with people who are ill. Yes, they certainly do this! However, after graduating with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2003 and initially working in both above areas, I decided that working with accent and pronunciation was where my passion lied and studied further to specialise in this area.

I have a great love of traveling and have travelled to many places around the world, but not nearly enough! Some of the places I’ve visited include Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Turkey, Spain, Holland, Italy, France, England, Morocco and more! I have a passion for travel because I love meeting people from other cultures with different traditions, and I really enjoy hearing and learning about their history and stories. Therefore, I count myself lucky to work in the area I do. Now, instead of travelling myself, my wonderful, diverse clients and their rich, exotic cultures come to me!

Due to COVID19, I am currently running all my sessions online which has significant advantages! The largest being that clients receive a video of each session which enables them to watch both my and their pronunciation carefully, which assists their awareness and helps them notice exactly what they are doing compared to what I may be doing. Additionally, with the use of the camera, I’m able to show them a very close view of what my mouth, tongue, teeth and palate are doing for each sound.  They report these videos to be a huge benefit of the service.

Though my approach is scientifically based, I believe it’s of utmost importance that you feel comfortable during the sessions and that they should be enjoyable. You can expect to work hard and have fun!
